My Daily Curly Routine

Hey Guys, I am happy to say this is my first posts for you guys :D! This picture here shows you what I use for my daily curly routine (as you may know I am going through my hair journey). I have 4a hair which is course, but kind of manageable, because I have textured hair my hair does not produce oil for moisture, which is VERY needed for my hair type. As of August 2011(sorry put 12 by accident lml) I have stopped relaxing my hair. Right now  I am transitioning to natural.

Reminding you if YOU want to transition:

  • Be sure to trim your hair more than you usually do, just don't go crazy
  • Use keratin products like shampoo, conditioner, oil, etc
  • Do rope braids to make waves or of course use the curly method
  • Deep condition 2 weeks a month
  • Use biotin
  • Less Heat
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Be patient!
Here are the steps for my curly routine:

Step 1: Wash your hair as you normally do. My tip for when your shampooing your hair, do the roots. Do not shampoo everywhere on you head, that would strip your natural oils in your hair causing them to be brittle, dry, and have split end. When conditioning concentrate more on your ends. BABY YOUR ENDS!! Your ends are the oldest parts of your hair so they need more care first, then concentrate on your roots.

Step 2: Moisturize with oil. After drying your hair, like I said in step 1, baby your ends.Use your favorite oil (I use argon or coconut oil), rub it into your hands and apply on your ends, then all over your hair. ***Remember do not put on too much***

Step 3: Leave-In Conditioner. This step is key to this routine. This step is just like moisturizing with oil, but with this you can use as much leave-in as you want, until your're satisfied.  Split your hair into four sections and apply to the ends first, then roots. To make your hair curly just scrunch your hair with your hands.Air dry for 5-10 minutes. ***I wouldn't recommend this but if you want to use heat to make the curls stay longer, just use a diffuser with your current hair dryer. You can skip step 4 if you're in a rush.

Step 4: Wrap your edges. If you want your hair to look nice or perfect in the morning, take your scarf and wrap it around your edges. Then what I do is take a shower cap and a bonnet and go to sleep. The next morning, it looks beautiful.

***If you want this style to last for a few days, Every morning damp your hair and put the leave in conditioner as you did two nights before. Your hair will be the same as the first day but softer.***
